For years, Trevor’s parents had two very troubling concerns: They worried about their son’s daily seizures, and they worried about the brain tumor that was causing those seizures. Local doctors believed that because of the tumor’s location in Trevor’s brain, it could not be removed. Chemotherapy kept the growth of the tumor in check somewhat, but the seizures continued unabated. Trevor was alive, but his quality of life was poor. When the tumor showed signs of growing again, his parents researched hospitals nationwide, and finally obtained a referral to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Trevor became a St. Jude patient in 2010. His life was about to change.
At St. Jude, doctors were able to remove most of the tumor. He hasn’t had one seizure since. As Trevor’s care continued at St. Jude, his parents saw their child blossom. The energetic little boy was able to laugh and play with friends and his sister. Trevor is an outgoing, intelligent child who loves telling jokes and meeting new people. He continues treatment at St. Jude.
